Welcome to Let's Listen ("we", "our", or "us"). Let's Listen is an Android audio and video player that allows users to play local media files and discover curated Trending Videos through external links. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your privacy rights.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or require:

  • User accounts or login information
  • Name, phone number, email address, or contacts
  • Messages, call logs, or precise location data
  • Personal audio or video files (they are never uploaded to our servers)

2. Information We May Access

  • Local Media Access: Used only to scan and play audio and video files stored on your device.
  • Trending Content Metadata: Titles, thumbnails and external video links fetched from our backend to display trending content.
  • Basic App & Device Information: Non-personal technical information such as app version, Android version and crash reports used to improve stability.
  • Notifications: Used to notify users about newly added or trending content.

3. Online Content & External Links

Let's Listen may display YouTube or other third-party video links in the Trending section.

  • Videos are not hosted by Let's Listen.
  • When you tap a video, it opens in the official YouTube application or your web browser.
  • Playback, advertisements and data collection are governed by YouTube or the respective third-party platform.

Let's Listen does not track what you watch on external platforms.

4. Firebase & Cloud Services

Let's Listen uses Firebase services to provide app functionality.

  • Firebase Realtime Database / Firestore: Stores trending content metadata such as titles, thumbnails and external links.
  • Firebase Cloud Storage: Stores images uploaded by the app owner for trending content.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Used to send notifications about new or trending content.

No personally identifiable user information is stored in Firebase.

5. Permissions

Let's Listen may request the following permissions:

  • READ_MEDIA_AUDIO — To play local audio files.
  • READ_MEDIA_VIDEO — To play local video files.
  • INTERNET — To fetch trending content and open external links.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To display notifications about new or trending content on Android 13 and above.

Permissions are requested only when necessary and can be denied or revoked at any time through your device settings.

6. Advertisements

Let's Listen may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners such as Google AdMob.

Advertising providers may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7. Data Security

We do not store users' personal information. Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect backend services against unauthorized access.

8. Children's Privacy

Let's Listen is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Since Let's Listen does not maintain personal user accounts or profiles, most privacy rights are exercised directly through the third-party services you use, such as Google or YouTube.
